October 2017

It was very exciting to see the return of the students for the new year and we are off to a successful start.  For October, we begin with our Extracurricular Activities starting Tuesday the 3rd.  We have 38 ECA’s this year in Elementary so be sure to sign up if you haven’t already!  Please note that there will be no ECA’s during the week of October 16 – 20.  On Friday, the 13th we will have a parent workshop at 2:00 pm in the Auditorium on the topic of Google Apps for Education.  On Tuesday the 31st, we will have our Hallowe’en Costume Parade where it is always fun to see what students and teachers have chosen to dress up as.  Everyone have a wonderful October!

I graduated from Dalhousie University with a B.Sc. in Agriculture (Hons).  After five years working in the golf course management field, I attended The University of Maine and completed my Bachelor of Education in anticipation of looking to work overseas.  In 2003 I started working at Delia School of Canada.  I have been a homeroom teacher in grades 3, 5 and 6 before becoming Head Teacher in 2014.  Currently I am a candidate in the MBA Education (International) programme at Keele University.
