February 2018

Happy Year of the Dog to everyone!  Friday, February 2 will see our Term 1 Extracurricular Activities end.  The Term 2 Extracurricular Activities will begin following the Lunar New Year Holiday on Monday, February 26.  If you have any questions about what activities you signed up for, please speak with the homeroom teacher.  The week of Monday, February 5th to Friday, February 9th we will have our Report Card conferences.  During this week there will be no Extracurricular Activities.  We will celebrate our 100th day of school on the 8thth. Wow, 100 days!  On Tuesday the 13th we will have our Community Chest Dress Casual Day before the start of the Lunar New Year Holiday.  Students can come in casual dress with a donation of $20 or more.  Wednesday the 28th is our Pink Shirt Day where everyone who participates will wear a pink shirt to support the Anti-Bullying Campaign.  I hope the year of the Dog is lucky for you!

I graduated from Dalhousie University with a B.Sc. in Agriculture (Hons).  After five years working in the golf course management field, I attended The University of Maine and completed my Bachelor of Education in anticipation of looking to work overseas.  In 2003 I started working at Delia School of Canada.  I have been a homeroom teacher in grades 3, 5 and 6 before becoming Head Teacher in 2014.  Currently I am a candidate in the MBA Education (International) programme at Keele University.
