This site is an excellent reference site containing engaging references resources, text-to-speech capabilities, learning and life skills activities, research tools, multimedia, and interactive videos. The content can be translated into 30 different languages.

Living Green
World Book Living Green features all the content from the printed version as well as videos and animations, interactive activities, Web sites and links to encyclopedic content.
Early People
World Book Early People features all the content from the printed version as well as videos and animations, interactive activities, Web sites and links to encyclopedic content.
World Book Inventions and Discoveries Features all the content from the printed version as well as videos and animations, interactive activities, Web sites and links to encyclopedic content.
Dramatic Learning
World Book’s Dramatic Learning helps develop reading fluency and content comprehension. Text is turned  nto plays, skits, and monologues.
World Book Time Line
World Book Timelines offers more than 425 generated timelines, which cover various time periods in history or span the life of historical public figures. These prebuilt timelines can be fully customised. Alternatively, students can choose to build their own timelines from scratch, adding events, descriptions, and media.
 
Twitter
Students at DSC are piloting the use of Twitter as a tool for in-class use. Twitter is also being used by the School's ICT Specialists.
edmodo
This year we will be using Edmodo for some classes at DSC.  Edmodo is a free and secure learning network for teachers, students, and schools.  It provides a safe way for us to connect, share content, access homework, participate in discussions and receive class information. It will be used in conjunction with the School Moodle Site.
skypee
Skpe is used in the Secondary Section for communicating with students in other parts of the world and with "experts". More information about this tool can be found at the Skype in the Classroom site. http://education.skype.com/
GoAnimate
Go!Animate is used by studnets in the Secondary Section. The school account can be accessed at: http://goanimate4schools.com/school/dsc
 
WordPress 
WordPress is used at DSC for student blogging. Some students will maintain a blog as part of their coursework.
